A bold black-and-gold promotional graphic for Diamond R-IV School District features the district’s roaring gold-and-black Wildcat mascot in the upper-left corner. Large white and gold lettering reads, “NEW LOOK. NEW FEATURES. SAME WILDCAT PRIDE!” The graphic announces the district’s new and improved website and highlights resources for families, including school calendars, upcoming events, district news, school and department information, parent and student resources, and quick links. Images of a laptop and smartphone display examples of the website. Across the bottom, a gold banner invites viewers to explore the website at www.diamondwildcats.org. The design includes paw prints, gold brushstroke accents, and the closing message, “Education. Community. Wildcat Pride.”
Another big week of activities for our students. Best of luck to all of our competitors as they represent our community.

Go Wildcats!

The Diamond High School Fight Song has been somewhat lost to history over time. Through community outreach and historical digging we discovered that the fight song that had been in place for was originally taken from University of Southern California. While a part of our history, it was never something that truly belonged to or represented Diamond.

Drawing inspiration from USC Fight Song “Fight On’ and with the help of current High School students we have created a new fight song. That is created for and by Diamond keeping our values at heart.

Our hope is to remember where we came from and to continue to grow just as our school and community. With that, we would like to invite the community to respond to a form on the District Facebook page. We would like to continue embracing our community and create lyrics for the new Diamond Fight Song as well as create a Alma Mater to hopefully premier at our Basketball homecoming later this school year.

 Events for the week

There was no shortage of grit, growth, and moments to be proud of across Diamond Athletics this week!

Our Middle School Lady Wildcat Volleyball Team picked up wins over New Heights and Pierce City, while battling Skyline in a tough matchup.

Our High School Lady Wildcats competed hard this week against Pierce City and Skyline. In the Pierce City game, Addy Ellis, Ainsley Webb, and Lilly Hoyer each served up aces. Against Skyline, Jovie Jinks led with 10 assists, Lilly Hoyer recorded 21 digs, and Addy Ellis finished with 14 blocks.

Our runners put in the work at Lamar and the McAuley Invitational in Joplin to close out the week. Braxton Owens, Addison Hayes, and Araylia Gilstrap brought home medals, while many Wildcats recorded new personal records!

Our Wildcat Football Team battled Stockton and continued to show toughness and determination. Giancarlo Martinez connected with Maddox Youngblood on an option pitch for a touchdown, Ralph Rangel added a touchdown catch and run, and Kale Adam came up with a fumble recovery and return.

And what a way to finish the week! Our Diamond Marching Wildcats traveled to the SBU Homecoming Parade and came home with 1st Place — Class 2A Black Division! What a way to finish the homecoming week.

Wins, losses, personal records, medals, big plays, and big moments—every one of them is part of the story.

Diamond Elementary's SRO for the day, "Sheriff" Henry, got to participate and see behind the scenes of what takes place in order to keep our schools safe. Our School Resource Officer, Nate Zimmerman, planned out the perfect day for "Sheriff" Henry. We're pretty sure it was his BEST DAY EVER! We appreciate Deputy Zimmerman and the Newton County Sheriff's Department for always going above and beyond for our kids.
